Meet DiVittorio Architecture and Design

Hello and a warm welcome to DiVittorio Architecture + Design! To celebrate the launch of our website, we wanted to share a little bit more behind the scenes of how the brand and website design came about! Here’s what we’ve been working on!

WHY I STARTED:

Doing residential architecture started out as a side job while in college and following that while working at a commercial company.  After a few years, I decided to take my side “dream job” and make it my reality with DiVittorio Archtiecture and Design. Starting my own company comes with risks, but those are all outweighed when each day I get to do what I am most passionate about.

Meet my Designer!

I hired MKW Graphics because of the incredible work Michelle has completed in the past and the assistance I needed when it comes to not only marketing, but also branding.  Branding a company was a new concept to me and with Michelle’s great knowledge, I knew DiVittorio Architecture + Design was in good hands as it became a company!

The Brand Design Process:

Let’s hand it over to Michelle:

Hey there, Danielle and thanks for having me!

When designing the brand for DiVittorio Architecture + Design, we first started with the moodboard for the brand based on the three brand adjectives that Danielle wanted to represent her new venture: Classic, Timeless and Chic. We collected images on Pinterest and from free stock photography websites that we thought best reflected these ideas and spoke to Danielle’s ideal audience.

Once we finalized the moodboard and color palette, we began the logo design process.

What we ended up with was a flat monogram logo mark that incorporated all 3 letters of the brand initials “D A D” in a way that doesn’t obviously spell Dad. We loved how the logo mark looked like the floor plan view of a staircase, which is why you’ll see staircases interspersed with the branding design documents.

The best of the brand design was inspired by the blend of modern lines with classic architectural philosophies and ideas. Danielle’s education and experience with interior design and architecture come through in the simplicity and elegance of the logo mark.

Website Design:

For the DiVittorio Architecture + Design website, we knew we wanted to communicate the same messaging as the brand design. The website feels clean, chic, modern, and elevated, just like the spaces Danielle strives to design for her clients.

We built out a simple and effective navigation so visitors could easily move throughout the site and get the information they are looking for.

One of the ways we accomplished this was in making the portfolio page as informational as possible. Many Interior Designers and Architects will simply post the images of their projects without giving any further information on the process or the design problem that was solved. By showing each of the Portfolio projects in more detail, Danielle has the ability to log and archive all of her projects moving forward so her future clients can easily reference the design process and what’s involved in projects that might be similar to theirs.

Additionally, we build out a beautiful blog page, which will become a great resource for Danielle’s clients to get a sense of her design style, her inspiration, and her practical design and architecture tips.
